Network Connection Manager

[Status: Working acceptably, not releasable yet]

When I signed up for T-MobileWeb, I wanted to only use it when Wi-Fi wasn’t available. After all, Wi-Fi is way faster than the 100kbit/s or so that T-MobileWeb offers. But it’s a pain to constantly switch between Wi-Fi and T-MobileWeb, and if both are active at once, interesting things happen. VECLabs Network Connection Manager is a tool I created to deal with this issue. It constantly monitors your Internet connection, and if it detects that you aren’t connected to a network, it connects you to T-MobileWeb automatically. If it later detects that another network has appeared, it disconnects you from T-MobileWeb. VECLabs Network Connection Manager keeps a log of all actions it takes (reset every time you stop it), so that you can later check when your Wi-Fi disappeared and appeared.

To-Do List: Easy configuration, custom commands run when networks connect.

VECLabs Network Connection Manager is currently in active development, at least until it has all the features I want. At that point, it will be opened to donations, if other people have feature requests.
