Botball 2008 Regional
Today was the Botball 2008 Regional Tournament. While we didn’t win Seeding or Double Elimination, we did get some very good scores in Double Elimination, and we also won the Judge’s Choice Award for Creative Programming (the award was entirely my doing). We’ve got some great ideas for the International Tournament in July (which we will be competing in), so we’re hopeful that we’ll pwn there.
Greetings to my friends at Whittier Middle School, who scored 2nd place in Double Elimination and 3rd overall! Congrats, guys!
Also greetings to my friends at Norman North High School, who got a Judge’s Choice award for programming as well!

What was the top score at the Oklahoma Competition?

Hi Austin,
(a) I don’t remember. I was much more focused on our bots doing well than on other teams’ scores.
(b) Even if I did remember, I don’t think KIPR wants that kind of number becoming public when some of the regional tournaments have yet to occur.
Sorry I can’t be of much help!
By the way, may I ask what region and/or team you’re on? I’m on the Norman High School team in Oklahoma; I’m always interested in talking with fellow Botball enthusiasts. May I also ask how you found my site? Feel free to IM me if you want. Thanks!
