2006-2007 School Year is OVER!
Friday, May 25th, 2007Note: I am apparently a n00b, and didn’t actually publish the following post, which was written on May 25. Feel free to read it now.
Today I finished my last semester finals, which means that the school year is over for me! On to summer! I’m reasonably confident that I have a 4.0 GPA, but I’ll have to wait for the grades to be updated online before I’m positive. English is the only subject that I’m a bit worried about; the final was fairly hard. I had a 100 in the class beforehand, though, and while the final was hard, there weren’t too many portions that I actually think I got wrong. So I’m hopeful.
In other news: I have achieved my New Year’s Resolution of getting a new job! I’ve actually been sitting on this news for the past few months. I will be doing a robotics programming job over the summer. I just picked up the equipment needed for the job yesterday. The project I’m working on looks quite fun, but it’s confidential to my employer, so I can’t divulge the details. I expect that I’ll be able to freely discuss the project within a few months, although this is not based on any official word, so I won’t guarantee that.
Over the summer, I will also be working on a science fair project in collaboration with a couple friends from Botball. That project will be fun as well, and may even result in a YouTube posting after the science fair concludes.
I will also (finally) be taking driver’s ed., which is long overdue. Now if only I would stop having that recurring dream where I’m driving on a highway but I can’t get off at the exit….
In addition, my 18th birthday is this summer! Which means I can vote in the 2008 primary elections! (Vote for John Edwards!) Besides voting, it will also mean less parental interference (the details of which I won’t bore you with now)!
So, in short, my summer looks to be very fun and very busy. Yay!
EDIT: almost forgot to mention, the first issue of the Humanity is Doomed If These Idiots Don’t Shut Up Dept. was posted a week or so ago. Feel free to read my rant on why browser fanboys are losers.
